Is your community group, place of work, or organization interested in visiting the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm?
We are excited to offer different opportunities for community groups to visit, learn about, and get involved with the Farm. Book a community tour of the Farm, arrange a hands-on session volunteering in our fields or with our community programs, or both! Please ensure you have reviewed our Guided Tours page to determine which program is the best fit for your group.
The UBC Farm provides a unique site for learning about global issues in food systems in the context of a 60-acre certified organic farm with integrated community-engaged educational programming, research, and teaching. Our one-hour community tours bring visitors through the dynamic farm site to learn about each of these activities while exploring how they are linked to issues globally in biodiversity, education, sustainable agriculture, food systems, Indigenous territory and food sovereignty, and innovative research. Further information about tour rates is outlined below. To sign up, please fill out our Community Group Visit Request Form.
If your group is smaller than 10 people, you are also welcome to join us for a free community tour every Saturday at 11:00AM during our Saturday Market. Tours leave from the lawn in front of the market and are open to the public. Up-to-date information about our Saturday market and dates for the season can be found on our Farm Markets page.
