Welcome to summer and the abundance of what’s growing at the farm!
Summer desserts should be simple, satisfying and fresh, so that kitchen time is kept to a minimum, while producing satisfying desserts that you’ll want to make again and again. This down-home approach to baking will be hands-on and full of variations and ideas to keep things inspiring in your own kitchen.
Due to the size of our cozy bakery, there is a limit of 10 participants per Doughgirls class.
About the Instructor
Rose Concepcion and Thuy Kelp are two long-time friends who met working in the culinary industry many years ago. Their shared passion for cooking, baking and all things pertaining to food and hospitality has inspired their careers as chefs including their latest project, “Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen & Bakeshop.” This passion is evident in their quality statement and continues to be expressed through their many creations that are shared with their customers and students.
Please note that this workshop will be held at the Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen and Bakeshop in Wesbrook Village (3322 Shrum Lane, Wesbrook Village, UBC).
