Culturally Relevant Urban Wellness Program Open House

Join us at the farm to celebrate and FUNdraise for The Culturally Relevant Urban Wellness Program (CRUW). We invite you to connect to the land, explore the medicine garden, meet the Elders, learn about traditional medicine, and participate in activities lead by youth.

CRUW assists Indigenous youth in connecting to the earth, learning about various plants and medicines, and their traditional uses. They learn important life skills and cultural knowledge alongside Elders and wisdom keepers who support the youth on their journeys.

Tickets:
$10-$20 sliding scale.Children under 12 free.

Purchase of a ticket includes:

  • Lunch & drink (bannock burgers and fresh lemonade)
  • Live music performances
  • Medicine Making workshop with Elders & Knowledge Keepers
    from Medicine Collective, includes take-home medicine
  • Afternoon of games, forest walks, and music workshop
  • Face painting and kids activities
  • Silent Auction

Tickets for sale at the event on arrival, and in advance at the UBC Farm Centre Office, VACFSS and through CRUW Staff.

This event is taking place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
