About this event
What is lost in translation between the passion and creativity in and around the Enbridge and Kinder Morgan reviews and the dispassionate reports and recommendations? Considering what matters to you and all you love and care for, how might environmental review take the spiritual and emotional aspects of food as seriously as market value? How difficult is it to express the physical, spiritual and emotional value of food in academic output? Can film, dance, song and other media help convey the full experience of growing, preparing and serving food? Filmed on Coast Salish Territory, “Unsettling Environmental Review” is a 37 minute film of highlights from the 4-day event that considers how Aboriginal and religious ceremony can help make processes physically, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually safer and more welcoming to all comers.
