FarmAde

17th Annual FarmAde

Friday, September 20, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The 17th annual FarmAde celebrates the UBC Farm and sustainable food with music, dancing, and food (of course) – all in the fields of the UBC Farm. Connect with old friends and new, do a square dance or two (or ten), plus learn all about your local teaching and learning farm, sustainability and food security on campus, and how you can get involved.

Started as a student-led, grassroots movement to save the UBC Farm from development, FarmAde is a celebration of the UBC Farm, and has grown into one of the largest annual events at UBC. Square dancing into the sunset, the sizzle from the food trucks, laughter from the beer gardens, lazy picnics and lawn games: this UBC Farm Fest is the best way to launch the new school year.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of revelry:

  • Live music by Stardust Stringband, Still Creek String Band, and Professor Banjo and the Estro-Jennies
  • Vancouver’s best food trucks, including Chickpea, Curb Your Appetite, and Roasted Revolution
  • Drinks from Oddity Kombucha
  • Community booths with Land and Food Systems Undergraduate Society (LFSUS), Roots on the Roof, and the UBC Social Justice Centre
