Community Workshops

Community Workshops

UBC Farm Workshops are led by our experienced farm staff and many allied experts in sustainable living skills from around the region.

The UBC Farm offers a variety of workshops on topics including gardening, baking, beekeeping, fermentation and other sustainable food and living skills.

Upcoming Workshops

The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems is excited to announce that registration for the first half of the 2022 community workshop series is now open! The UBC Farm hosts a wide range of workshops covering diverse skills in gardening, cooking, fermenting, and foraging.  This year, we have added new workshops and brought back many favourites. All of our workshops are beginner friendly and open to everyone, so please share with your networks! Until further notice, all of our workshops will be conducted online.

Register Early

We strongly suggest registering early as our workshops have limited seats and often sell out.  Moreover, workshop registration may close up to 5 days prior to the workshop. If a workshop is sold out, you can fill out the waiting list form here to request to be placed on a workshop’s waiting list. If you have any difficulties with this process, please email, and we will add you to the waiting list.

Until further notice, all workshops will occur online (and an email with the link will be sent to registrants at least one day prior to each workshop, unless stated otherwise in the workshop description).

Custom workshop request?
We offer custom workshops & team-building for organizations and groups.
The CSFS selects highly-qualified, subject matter experts as instructors for our Community Workshops. These presenters are sometimes part of the UBC Farm staff and more often external instructors. The content of the workshops is the responsibility of the presenter and their views do not necessarily reflect the views of the CSFS.
