UBC Farm Fall Fair
Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Celebrate the changing seasons and learn about sustainable food at our sixth annual Fall Fair! Get your fill of fall bounty fruits and vegetables, a pie contest and tasting, live music, kids’ activities, fun veggie activities, and more!
Join us for a celebration of the harvest and enjoy a fun-filled day!
The Fall Fair features:
- Live music from our market musicians
- Farm photo booth

- Face Painting
- *Cancelled* Bunny Petting Zoo unfortunately cancelled due to illness
- Soil Research Activity for Kids
- Fun veggie activities
- Food trucks and drinks
- More than 40 different local vendors selling produce, fruit, mushrooms, eggs, baked goods, beverages, sweet treats, alcohol, artisan goods, and more

- 11 a.m. Free Farm Tour
- 12 p.m. Chef Demo with our very own UBC Farm and Practicum chefs!
- 12:30 p.m. Pie Contest Judging
- 1 p.m. Public Pie Tasting — tickets by donation! Until the pie runs out!

Fall Fair Pie Contest Entry 2024
Rules: Your pie must meet the following criteria: * it must be made entirely from scratch by you * it cannot be cream-filled or cream-based * you must bring a copy of your recipe * it must be submitted in a disposable plate/tin/pan * it must highlight local/seasonal produce such as apples, pears, plums, pumpkins. Judging: Please bring your pie to the pie tasting table by 12PM. Our judging team will announce winners around 12:45PM, after which time the public will be welcome to taste pies by donation and pick an audience favourite. The judges' first place winner and audience favourite will receive a UBC Farm tote bag and the first place winner’s recipe will be shared through our newsletter!
