Custom workshops generally occur at the UBC Farm (Vancouver, British Columbia). If you'd like your workshop to be offered at a different location (in the Vancouver region), please explain:
All of our customized programs include a very short introduction to UBC Farm and its programs. In addition to this short introduction, would you like a guided tour of the Farm?*

The specific activities available are highly dependent on season and the number of participants in your group. More specific information on the hands-on experience will be available at the time of confirming your booking. Some examples of common tasks include: harvesting, forest stewardship, dried herb/tea processing, weeding, and more. All hands-on tasks begin with an overview/orientation. Hands-on tasks are subject to change, based on weather conditions.

Team-building activities are led by an experienced facilitator, and refer to a wide range of activities, from fun get-to-know-you activities to team challenges, and much more. If you have specific objectives, please note those in the comment box at the end of this form.

The specific workshops available will be dependent on group size and presenter and infrastructure availability. Workshop duration usually varies between 1 – 3 hours.

CUSTOM WORKSHOP PAYMENT POLICY: The full balance for the workshop is due within 10 days of the time of booking. Instructions for how to submit payment will be indicated on your invoice.*

CUSTOM WORKSHOP REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellation/reschedule requests must be received in writing. Cancellations 30+ days prior to the workshop will receive a refund (minus a $175 administrative fee). Cancellations 15-29 days prior to the workshop will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 15 days prior to the workshop will not receive a refund. Request to reschedule a confirmed booking will incur an administrative fee ranging between $100 - $200 (depending on complexity), and a rescheduled workshop must occur within six months of the original confirmed date. We cannot guarantee that rescheduled workshops will conform precisely to the original booking, as they are subject to instructor availability and other factors. In the unlikely event that a new time cannot be accommodated, a request to reschedule will be treated as a cancellation. Cancellation by UBC Farm -- In the rare occurrence that UBC Farm needs to cancel a booking, UBC Farm will provide the client with as much notice as possible and will re-book the client into the next available date of the client’s choice. In the situation where a new date cannot be agreed upon, the client will receive a 100% refund.*

ALLERGIES AND DIETARY RESTRICTIONS FOR CATERING: We will try to accommodate allergies and dietary sensitivities or restrictions, but the facilities come in contact with all types of foods. UBC Farm cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination, and is unable to take responsibility for allergic reactions. Please do not hesitate to contact UBC Farm with any questions, and please notify UBC Farm of allergies and dietary restrictions when requesting the booking. If there are any severe allergies in the party, UBC Farm asks that the individual bring allergy medication (such as an Epipen) to the event. UBC Farm will do their best to accommodate for all allergies; however UBC Farm reserves the right to decline a catering request if it determines that it will be too difficult to accommodate a given request.*
