LFS 496 Food Systems Career Development Course Registration

Welcome to the Career Development in Land and Food Systems Course (LFS 496) Registration Form! The instructor team is looking forward to helping you get ready for your future professional career in food systems through a mentored learning experiences with real food businesses and organizations. You are filling out this form because you have been officially accepted for one career development placement. Once the form is filled out, it will be sent to LFS Student Services to complete your registration.
  • About the Program

    a. Three or six credits will be awarded for successful completion of LFS 496. The credit level of the course must be determined prior to the start of the course.

    b. If you are planning on carrying out your career development course over two consecutive semesters (e.g., May to August and September to December) with the same work placement site, you will have to fill out this form again one month prior to the start of the second semester.

    c. Participation in work placement responsibilities is required. Attendance at all workshops is required. For all other required learning activities, please consult the syllabus. Visit https://ubcfarm.ubc.ca/students/lfs496/ for course material.

    d. The course instructor is responsible for final assessment of a successful course completion, in consultation with the work placement supervisor.
