About the Workshop

Explore the fascinating world of fermentation and learn how to reduce food waste in a fun and delicious way! Presented by professional distiller and trained brewer, Kristine Hui, this workshop will delve into the basic science of fermentation, and how you can transform old grocery produce into probiotic rich foods that have increased shelf stability. This workshop will be conducted online; a link will be emailed to all registrants a few days before the workshop.
About the Instructor
Kristine Hui, aka Miss Brewbird, is a trained brewer and a professional distiller who has made whisky, gin, and liqueurs professionally in distilleries in the UK and Canada. She even helped to develop a rum recipe which won a Silver medal at the 2021 International Wine and Spirits Competition. She has also appeared as a contestant on Master Distillers on the Discovery channel. She loves fermentation in all its forms, whether it’s fermenting beer, apples, or yogurt.
