About the Workshop

This engaging workshop will introduce you to the time-honored process of lacto-fermentation, a technique that has been used to preserve garden vegetables and fruits for centuries. You’ll learn the science behind lacto-fermentation and the health benefits of incorporating fermented foods into your diet, from improved digestion to a boost in beneficial gut bacteria. You’ll leave the workshop with a bag of naturally fermented pickles and apples. Come and capture the flavors of the season while embracing the sustainable and healthy tradition of lacto-fermentation. (Please bring two 1L mason jars to the workshop to take home the items you’ll make.)
